AffecTech
AffecTech is an interactive audio-visual installation which uses physiological signals from the human body to explore notions of presence, action and reaction, as experienced by the viewer. Born in the grey area where art and science meet, the installation uses sensor enhanced chairs, cameras, interactive visuals and surround sound to place 2 viewers into the virtual world where the mediascape is dependent on and reactive to, the similarity or disparity of their bio-signals.
HoneyMoney
An enactive audio-visual composition created as part of group show “The Cube”. The audience is invited to enter a sound world exploring our desire to accumulate wealth and contrasting that with bees impulse to create honey. A sensor equipped cube allow the user to create the piece in real-time and responds to levels of activity from the user, unlocking new abilities and sounds. Perceptions of scale are explored through macro photography and amplified sound, new physics created to meld with the new interface.
Liquid Mixer
Quick overview of a water based control interface. Uses the flow of water to control flow of audio signal. Created as part of my Masters degree at the Sonic Art Research Centre, Belfast.
Sensory Chairs
An overview of a system comprising 4 sensor enhanced chairs, detecting biosignal information about their occupants and tracking their emotional state.
